from pretending to hide

with faces of contempt
bodies
limp from exhaustion
from fail attempts (but still intent)
on costing me my promotions
through commotions of red tape
handshakes fake
as politicians speeches

with limited rest through reality checks
relieving my stress through cigarettes and sex
and unless my check is blessed
with an extra zero then my mirror
